Question

A mixture of Vodka and Soda in the ratio of 6:3 and another mixture of Vodka and Water in the ratio of 8:6. The equal quantity of both mixtures is poured into a Jar. What will be the quantity of Water per liter in the jar?

  • 4/14
  • 3/14
  • 2/14
  • 1/14
Answer- B

Let 1 litre of both the drinks poured in a jar to form a new mixture.

Total quantity of the new = 1+1= 2 litre

Water is present only in the second drink.

Quantity of Water in the second drink = 1 *6/14 = 3/7

Now, 2 litre of the new mixture contains 3/7 litres of water.

therefore per litre is 3/(7*2) = 3/14 litres of water
