Question

In a meat market, goat meat of 700 kg contains water and meat in the ratio of 1:6. How much water must be added to the meat mixture so that the ratio of water and meat becomes 2:7?

  • 70.55
  • 71.42
  • 72.68
  • 73.56
Answer- B

Meat in the 500 kg of mixture = 700 ∗ 6/7 = 600 kgs

So, water in the mixture would be = 700 - 600 = 100 kgs

Let water to be added = x ml

Now, (100+x)/600 = 2/7

700+7x = 1200

7x = 1200 - 700

7x= 500

X= 500/7 = 71.42 kg
